Where to shop In Avondale Arizona for Vintage clothing and accessories

     

Yesterday, I had so much fun looking for some vintage items, I just wanted people to know where you can find these. I was just going to the places I always go in Avondale Arizona. My first stop was at a place called Hopes Closet. Hopes closet is run my new life centers, A domestic violence refuge for women, men and children suffering from abuse  If anyone is in danger they can go to this web address http://www.newlifectr.org  they also provide items of necessity for families.


Provides curbside pick-up for donations.

  Operates the "Dress for Success " program providing work-appropriate clothing for women participating in the Center’s Jobs Program.

All proceeds from the sale are used to support the Center. Please know that every donation—whether used at the Center or sold to benefit our programs—is used for the direct benefit of families at New Life!    I  am a frequent shopper and love the staff. They are very helpful. I love the boutique you can find so many good bargains. If you like to go to yard sales, estates sales you will  love thrift stores.

Leslie Fay Dresses

In 1942 , Fred Promerantz made uniforms for the armed services. This is a time where the government provided most of the measurements of the shapes of most women. The war ended and Mr. Promerantz in 1947 opens a shop utilizing measurements that he acquired making the uniforms. He called to shop Leslie Fay after his daughter and marketed clothing for the middle- aged in mind. The company flourished until 1993 with it became bankrupt. They did sport other labels such as David Warren, Outlander, and Joan Leslie. I thinks some of the most beautiful dresses of Leslie Fay were made in the 1950 to 1960's. Here is a beautiful dress of Gold Lame and inlaid stitching.

Simply irresistible is this vintage dress by Leslie fay. The dress itself is in mint condition for vintage. The dress is a mini style sleeveless and very detailed with a holiday pattern to the dress. This would be great for any holiday or evening gathering. The dress zips down the back and had a matching belt. The dress is lined in a golden taffeta to match the outer dress. The dress has gold ribbon around the front neckline and down to the waist.
