
In 1942 , Fred Promerantz made uniforms for the armed services. This is a time where the government provided most of the measurements of the shapes of most women. The war ended and Mr. Promerantz in 1947 opens a shop utilizing measurements that he acquired making the uniforms. He called to shop Leslie Fay after his daughter and marketed clothing for the middle- aged in mind. The company flourished until 1993 with it became bankrupt. They did sport other labels such as David Warren, Outlander, and Joan Leslie. I thinks some of the most beautiful dresses of Leslie Fay were made in the 1950 to 1960

Simply irresistible is this vintage dress by Leslie fay. The dress itself is in mint condition for vintage. The dress is a mini style sleeveless and very detailed with a holiday pattern to the dress. This would be great for any holiday or evening gathering. The dress zips down the back and had a matching belt. The dress is lined in a golden taffeta to match the outer dress. The dress has gold ribbon around the front neckline and down to the waist.
